I got lost in sketchville so many times, I don't end up actually finishing a piece. I have BOXES upon BOXES of doodles. So I'm calling you all out to help challenge me. Give me a topic and/or description of something/someone/something to draw. Is it a person, a place, an idea you have but want to see me try it out, one of your own original characters?

My only thing is I don't want something abstract. I want something that will push me as far as anatomy/coloring/composition goes. This is a chance to just throw a curve ball at me or slip in an art request. I'll even post my process here as I go along.

What a crazy week. Eight years of driving and my first accident occurs. Brand friggin new car I bought at the beginning of the year, with my own money and BAM. It is kinda funny though how it happened. One of those "D'oh!" moments.

I was out delivering pizzas and at one particular house I reached over and grabbed the pizza bag, but it latched onto my gear shift (WHich is between my front seats instead of on the steering column itself). Not thinking anything of it I just pulled it off and jumped out of my car. What I failed to realize, it that I'd accidentally knocked my car back into drive.

Two steps away from the car I notice it's creeping forward right towards a big shrub and, more importantly, someone's house. I let the F-word slip as I threw the pizza over my shoulder, threw open my car door and attempted to hit the break.

Attempted is the Key word here.

To put it bluntly: I missed. Instead I hit the Gas pedal, propelling myself right into a big shrubbery. Luckily... if I can call it that, the bush stopped me from going through the neighbor's house. Had I let my car keep creeping along, It probably would have tapped the damn shrub and stopped on it's own. No... instead it ripped off my Front bumper, dented my right fender, broke the inside of my right headlight...

The people i was delivering to came out to check on me. I reassure them that I'm fine. I go pick up the pizza bag and tell them that I'll probably have to go remake their pizza to which they tell me that it'll be okay, they'll just scrape it off the box and not to worry about it. We open up the box and discover...

...THe pizza is completly unscathed. Not a single topping is on the inside of the box, everything stayed perfectly intact under the cheese. WTF?!

What a night it was. I got pity tips the rest of the night, which will go towards my deductible on my insurance. That's the price of stupid i guess.

I bought a new guitar this week; an electric-acustic. After struggling with the little one I got for Christmas (It was a nice thought, but not meant for an adult) I decided it was better to invest in a better guitar. It was just by happenstance I stumbled onto such a beautiful instrument.





It's manufactured by a newer company called Luna Guitars, which manufacture guitars designed for, but not limited to, female players. God it sounds like a dream, and is so much easier to play then most full sized guitars. ~*SQUEE!*~

and Speaking of Music, My dream Concert is going to be happening and I'll probably miss it. Sonata Arctica announced they are teaming up with Nightwish for the second leg of their US tour! *sob* Symphonic Metal heaven! Alas.

Something about spring give me such an uplifting feeling. I wish I could see the cherry blossoms bloom again this year. My old apartment had lots of cherry blossom trees and it just made it worth going on a 2-4 hour walk destined for nowhere just to see it all with a snow capped mountain backdrop. Fresh cool air, beautiful landscape... There aren't words.

Spring always comes early here in Eastern Washington. Valentine's day hits and the sun is shining, robins are out playing and... wtf? Mosquitoes?! where'd you all come from, you're early. Oh well.. you'll all die off when the sudden dust storms of march and freak snow in May comes along. Thus the harshness of the desert.

I work two jobs now and finally got rolling on learning guitar. I love interacting with people so I jump at a chance to learn something new, and I'm not boxed up in my room like a hermit. Although that's not a bad thing when I am working on my demo reel.

I aim to have a job in art by July. I can't be a delivery driver for ever, So it's time to get cracking. Our economy is going to crap, but I don't care as long as I keep my credit in line and stay one step ahead in all my payments I'll be okay. I think the media blows it all out of proportion, but I can't say I don't feel the effects when Gas is $3.50 a gallon. Ouch...

Things to look forward to in the merry Ol' month of May. Trip to Oregon for a week and Trip to Vancouver = not to mention my Birthday as well as that of my best friend... my parents' anniversary, relay for life event, memorial day weekend and all the other stuff that happens to kick off the descent into summer.

I think i need to loosen up a bit and just go where life takes me. We all end up with the same conclusion to our life's story, so make it a book someone will want to read. Peace out, ya'll.

Actually it doesn't matter what you say I'm probably coming around that time anyway. I may or may not be going to the Mindless Self Indulgence concert with my bro. Croatian Cultural Centre. Takers?
