I keep seeing these articles on CNN about how Game companies and entertainment companies should assume more responsibility for their violent media.

It infuriates me because there is a warning there's even a rating board made up by NON gamers to regulate this crap and still parents will buy their 8 year old an M rated game then cry and whine because "The game made their kids violent."

I agree, games can be impressionable, but the parents should know more about their children's hobbies and start assuming responsibility for their children's actions. And this is only a piece of my larger rant.

LOL too true. but then you do have a whole other catagory of complaints though.... world of warcraft and the millions of poor sods (like my bro) who're hopelessly addicted to it....

I will this: I HATE STUPID PARENTS

I wish I could stand outside an EB and slap every parent that buys their kid a game that isnt appropriate for them, only so they'll shut the kid up. Learn to fuckin parent your damn kid. Ask fuckin questions, and do some fuckin research before you give in to: "Gimmie gimmie gimmie I want this"!!!!

lol, I myself am at fault for supplying my own boyfriend with Warcrack. I do think video game addiction is a problem. I mean, there's a difference between letting 8hours slip by in one session and forgetting to eat and sleep for days. @_@
