My Window To You

I look outward into space
Connecting straight to you
My fingers do my talking, friend
Whispered words uttered true
The view from here is grand indeed
I sit waiting for whom I adore
To climb my trellis and set me free
From the cage that bounds me more

My limbs may grow weary
And parting will soon come
A friendly smile and goodbye
Seems to make us numb
It’s not the cold that chills
The departure hurts me so
How can I soften the hurt?
When it comes time to go?

I look through the glass again
Waiting patiently
Knowing deep inside
Again he’ll appear to me
Angel of my nightmares
Oh sweet and soft divine
When you’re around me
I loose all sense of time

Another day will come at last
When I can see your face again
Perhaps you’ll leave my dreams
And reality will set in
Window to my world
If one day you should break
Also shall my heart of glass
A blow I fear to take

Stranger in my life
How close you have become
What will the future bring?
Can we guess this sum?
Until tomorrow rises
And bring with it anew
This shall be my way
My window straight to you
